12 k Race. As The Rock Church we get to invest in what is happening in our city and partner with Bloomsday for the past 5 years. 

Bloomsday impacts Spokane area youngsters as much as adults. The "Fit For Bloomsday" program, which was instituted in 1987, encourages fitness among nearly 6,000 participating elementary students each year. The Lilac Bloomsday Association has also provided 30 airline tickets each fall since 1993 for top high school cross country runners to attend the Footlocker Western Regional Cross Country Championships in California.

After over four decades, Bloomsday has worked its way into the fabric of life in the Inland Northwest. For most residents, it's impossible to imagine spring in Spokane without Bloomsday.

THE LARGEST 3ON3 IN THE WORLD!

Hoopfest is the largest event of its kind in the world, as it drew as many as 27,876 players on 7,046 teams. It began in 1989 with 2,009 players on 512 teams, and has grown to over 6,700 participant teams. It is estimated that around 175,000 fans visited the event in both 2010 and 2011 (and likely for many years before, although estimates had not been observed for previous years), meaning that the total number of people at Hoopfest could be measured at around 200,000 including players, fans, and volunteers. 

This means that we at The Rock Church get to invest in our city, share the Gospel and serve beside people while sharing hope at Hoopfest. This is a great outreach opportunity we get to take part in every year. 

Church Planting, Seminary and making disciples who make disciples in Côte d’Ivoire

American missionaries first entered Côte d’Ivoire in the 1940s and 1950s from Liberia, where missionaries were working in a border town. There was no way to establish churches, however, until 1975 when SBC became authorized to enter Côte d’Ivoire. Since then the ministry in the Côte d’Ivoire has included church planting, Bible translation, a clinic, and a Bible school.
